Activities and Events for the week beginning 27th March 2011.

On Monday evening Father John continues his course on the Old Testament after Mass at 7.15 p.m.   The subject this week is Moses. The evening will end with Benediction.

The funeral of Peter Adams will be held in church on Tuesday at 1.30 p.m.

Tuesday Church for Children takes place this week from 6.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. All children of primary school age are most welcome.

There will be a choir practice at the Vicarage at 7.45 p.m. on Tuesday to prepare music for Holy Week and Easter.

There will be a Coffee Morning in church on Wednesday after the 9.30 a.m. Mass. We are all invited.

Bishop Cyril continues his Lent course - ‘Exploring God’s Mercy’ - on Wednesday at 7.30 p.m. at St George’s.

Our Spring Fair takes place in church on Saturday from 11.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. Please come yourself and bring your friends

Next Sunday is Mothering Sunday. Mass will be celebrated at the usual times: 8.00 a.m., 10.00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m.

The Flower Club will again be arranging lilies in church at Easter in memory of loved ones. They cost £3 each. Please give the names of those to be remembered to Barbara Sands.

The annual subscription of £3 to Forward in Faith Sheffield is now due. Please pay Hazel Dilks as soon as possible. New members will be welcome.

Revision of Electoral Roll – There is a copy of the Electoral Roll on the table at the back of church. Please check your details and make any corrections and initial them. Anyone wishing to join the Roll, please speak to Beryl Neyt.

To celebrate the Royal Wedding we are holding a Red, White & Blue Supper in church at 6.00 p.m. on Friday 29th April. Tickets are on sale at £10 each, in aid of the Comper Fund.

Our Parish Pilgrimage to Walsingham will take place this year from Monday to Friday 15th to 19th August. The cost of half-board will be £179.20 (£107.52 for a child). We hope for many pilgrims this year. If you think you would like to go, please give Elizabeth Paver a deposit of £10 as soon as possible. She will need a further deposit of £20 by the middle of May.
