Project Comper.
Project Comper was launched yesterday, 18th April 2009, and aims to complete the final two phases of the restoration of the Comper work within our Church by Summer 2011. In order to be successful we will have to raise some £30,000, a tall order considering that this must be raised within just 18 months!
While any donations are fully appreciated, those who feel able to contribute a more significant sum, will have their names entered for posterity on a "Roll of Honour" to be displayed in Church. For more details contact Jeff Nadin either by E-mail or on 01302 537533.
For those of you who couldn't make it to the launch (or those who did, but just want to look again) here are some of the highlights of the evening.

Eager anticipation for the food, sorry that should be, for the start of the evening's proceedings! |

Father John started the event rolling with his usual, indomitable style. |
 |
A large turnout packed the Church to hear ... |

Jeff Nadin gave a history of the Church and told us just why it is so important to preserve the Comper work throughout the Church.
If it was just too much detail to remember the history can be read HERE. |

Afterwards Father John was put on the spot during the Question and Answers.
Thanks Celia! |

No such event would be complete without the food ... |

and socialising which is only made possible by parishioners generosity.
No doubt the same generosity will see Project Comper through to its successful conclusion, in time for Father John to hold Mass in a fully restored Chancel. |
