Activities and Events for the week beginning 14th March 2010.
Father Keith is at All Saints, Intake this morning.
Tuesday Church for Children takes place this week from 6 to 7 p.m. Children of primary school age are most welcome.
There will be a choir practice at the Vicarage at 8 p.m. on Tuesday to prepare music for Holy Week and Easter.
There will be a coffee morning in church on Wednesday after the 9.30 a.m. mass. We are all invited.
Authority and the Church is the title of a dialogue between Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Connor and the Bishop of Wakefield. It will take place on Thursday evening in Wakefield Cathedral, beginning with Evensong at 7 p.m. All are welcome.
Next Sunday Mass will be celebrated at the usual times 8.00 a.m., 10.00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m.
The Flower Club will again be arranging lilies in church at Easter. The list is open for anyone who would like to donate a lily (£3) in memory of a loved one.
Our Parish Pilgrimage to Walsingham has been booked for Monday 16th August to Friday 20th. Please consider joining us this year. The cost half board is £171. Children are welcome, and the cost for them is £102.60. Fr John will need to know by the end of April if you would like to go on the pilgrimage, and there is a £20 deposit payable by then (deducted from the total cost).
Revision of Electoral Roll – Please check your entry on the Electoral Roll on the table at the back of church. Please make any necessary changes and initial your entry as a correct record. If anyone would like to join the Electoral Roll, please complete one of the forms and hand it to Beryl Neyt.
Easter cards are now ready for distribution round the parish. Please collect and deliver a bundle or two.
The Nightingale Singers conducted by Ken Greaves are paying us another visit for a concert on Saturday 10th April in church at 6.30 p.m. Tickets will soon be on sale, price £6. Please book the date and tell others who will be interested.
